First Lutheran is hosting a volunteer project, “Knoxville Rescue Mission Saturday Serve.”
We could use all the prayer and help we can get! Would you consider praying or joining us for this project?
While we enjoy a long holiday weekend, there are many homeless who will be sleeping under the bridge, on Broadway, and wherever they can find a spot in downtown Knoxville. Come help us prepare and serve a hot lunch on Saturday, September 1, and also share the love of Jesus Christ with these unloved and unchurched people.

During the weeks of August 20 – August 30, let Karen Farris or Larry Hood know if you can help. A reminder will be announced on Sunday, August 26. There are usually two sessions — one starting at 9 a.m. to cook and prepare lunch, and the second to serve, starting around 11:30 a.m.
